American Express Global Business Travel South Africa is independently owned and operated by Tourvest Travel Services (TTS). The company is a division of Tourvest Holdings, South Africa’s largest black-owned travel and tourism group.

As a result of the 51.03% shareholding held by Guma Tourism, a wholly black-owned and managed company, Tourvest is now classified as a black owned company.

Tourvest Holdings has 80% black ownership, of which 35.44% is women. The company’s commitment to transformation is evident across its business with initiatives that include:

  • Black and black women ownership and management;
  • Preferential procurement;
  • Enterprise development initiatives aimed at growing competitive players in the tourism industry;
